On October 9 and 10, 2023, the meeting of the Litigation Committee of the European Patent Institute (EPI) was held in Munich. The Litigation Committee is a body within the EPI that considers and discusses all aspects of patent litigation in Europe, particularly the infringement and validity of European patents. Furthermore, it observes the inter-state agreements and the relevant practice that is being developed.
Valentin Pepeljugoski is a representative from North Macedonia in the Litigation Committee and an active participant in meetings and discussions. The last meeting specifically discussed: recent case law developments and analysis of cases, consideration of the reports on virtual proceedings, enforcements and jurisdiction and Brexit implications on patent litigation, as well as the educational topics.
