The Professional Education Committee (PEC) of the European Patent Institute (EPI) held its regular meeting on September 28 and 29 in Munich. This committee is one of the most important committees of the European Patent Institute, in which European patent attorneys are members. In the Professional Committee for Education, North Macedonia is represented by Prof. Dr. Valentin Pepeljugoski. At the meeting, which was the first live meeting after the pandemic, the reports of the sub-committees were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the reform of the professional exam for European patent attorneys, from the aspect of using electronic platforms and communication difficulties between students and tutors. This is in order to prevent the new means of communication from leading to a decrease in the quality of education of the candidates and a decrease in the pass rate.
